AVENUE AS EXT!,<:.NDED FROM AN "R-1" TO AN 11R-2" AND AN ."R'-1" TO AN 0/7--~~-~., 11R'-3'.1:.ZONING DISTRICT AS HEREINAFTJ!;R SET FORTH. )LcJ f. tl· t,'f; ~ ~~) (" ,v /~. ;; )~.I W HEREAS, t he p r oposed c ha ng e in zoning distric ts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to t he zoning and planning Commission for its recommendj ation, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that maldng the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section ZO of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided ·by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission ... on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was dult held in the City commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock. I Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it wwld be .in the public interest,· due to changed conditions, that the Zon.ing Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SE.CTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 818 . ' A .. Change the following described propertyt t.o-wit: BEGINNING at a point which bears North 1345 feet and West 2640 feet from the Southeast corner of Section Z, Block A, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE North 142.5 feet; THENCE E.ast 1043.25 feet; THENCE South 142. 5 feet; THENCE West 1043 .. 2.5 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, from an 11R-1 11 to an 11R-2" zoning district .. B. Change the following described property, to-wit: BEGINNING at a point which bears North 1487.5 feet and West 1596. 75 feet from the Southeast corner of Section 2 Block A, Lubbock County, Texas; . ·. , THENCE North 609.5 feet to a point in the South line of Parkway Drive ~~ 1 ti;.'t"; THENCE Southwesterly along the South line of Parkway Drive a distance of 218 feet; THENCE Sputh a distance of 570 feet; THENCE East 208 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. from an 11R-l11 to an 11 R-311 zoning district. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date oi this Ordinance, said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance here~th.
