HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 2991-1959 - Amending Zoning Ordinance 1695 And The Official Map Of The City Lubbock - 11/24/1959~ , JiW1 :we \\ -~ 4--.9==5~9p--:=====i;===i= ===-=lt==---==================~,d.-0 -\..9 .~9 ORDINANCE NO. l991 @ ,,,).;·!J (j} ,,.rl f'}.'l v AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 815 : CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 800 BLOCK OF EAST 19TH STREET FROM A "C-4" TO AN 11 M-111 ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: THAT THE OWNERS AND/OR DEVELOP'~RS SHA.LL MAKE APP.UCATION FOR AND SEGUR A BUILDING PERMIT WITHIN TEN MONTHS AFTER THE DATE OF FINAL PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda- tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out wi be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully compli.ed with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date ofthe.public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing accor.::ting to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, L l bboc Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREF:ORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 815 Change the North 30 feet of the following described property, to-wit: BEGINNING at a point 2495.8 feet West of the Northeast corner of Section 5, Block B, Lubbock C ounty, TexasJ THENCE South 29°231 East, Z05. 8 feet to a point 30 feet North of the zone division line established by Ordinance 1695 of the City of Lubbock, Texas, for the beginning point of this tract; THENCE continuing South 29°23 1 East, 217.2 feet to a point; THENCE South 34°4.2 West, 377.4 feet to a point in the North line of the Panhandle and Santa Fe Railway right-of-way; THENCE North 39°461 West, 649 feet more or less to a point 30 feet North of said zone division line; THENCE East parallel to and 30 feet North of said zone division line to the POINT AND PLA.CE OF BEGINNING. from a uc-4'' to an 11M-111 zoning district. (Said property being located in the 800 Block of East 19th Street): Subject to the following condition: That the owners and/or devel<5pers shall make application for and secure a build- ing perm it within ten months after the date of final passage of this Ordinance. SECTION z. THAT from and after passage and effective date o£ this Ordina cE said lots, tracts, and parcels of land described in Section 1, hereof shall be chan ed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance her - with.
