WHEREAS,. the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatio
which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration. the City
Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in
the public interest; an~
WHEREAS,. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning 0Tdinance and Map have been fully complied wit~ as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of OTdinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided-by Article lOll£~ Vernon.ts Annotated Civil Statutes~ amended in 1953,
and notice was duly pt.:blished in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen
(15} days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on
such proposed amendment~ and the public hearing according to said notice was duly
held in the City Commission Room on the first .floor of the City Hall-, Lubboc~
Texas., at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; andt! after said
II hearing~ it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public
I intere s~ due to changed conditions., that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map I
'-J ' be amended in the ananner hereinafter set:i:lrth in the body of this Ordinance and
this Ordinance having been introduced in final writtem form prior to first reading
hereof; NOW~ THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows,. to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 820
Change Lots 7~ 8,. and 9, Block 10~ Berry Addition Anne:x:o. an
addti.on to the City of Lubboc~ Lubbock Countt', Texas~ from
an ''R-2u to a "C-411 zoning district. {Said property being lo-
cated in the 100 Block of East 37th Street),; Subject to the fol-
lowing condition: That the owners and/ or developers shall
make application for and secure a building permit within ten
months after the date of final passage of this ordinance.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordi-
nance said lots, tract sa and parcels of land de scribed in Section 1~ he reo£ shall be
changed to the zoning district indicated and the Oificial Map is amended in accor-
