WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that in all zone changes to the 11C11 Zone Classi-
fications that such property should be placed in Fire Zone No. 2 immediately to protect
the lives, safety, and property of the citizens of the City of Lubbock~ which creates an
emergency; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the following described property changed in zone by ORDINANCE
NO. • to-wit:
BEGINNING at a point 1923.86 feet east of the northwest co~er of the
, ,southwest 1/4 of Section 5, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE e~t 660 feet to a po:in.t ;
THENCE south 677 feet to a point;
THENCE west 660 feet to a point;
THENCE north 677 feet to the point of beg:ilming.
BE AND THE SAME IS hereby changed and/or placed in fire zo'b.e No. 2 and the
"FIRE ZONE MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK11duplicate original located in the Build-
ing Inspector's office shall be amended in accordance herewith by the Building Inspector
or at his direction, and this change shall constitute an amendment to Fire Zoning
Ordinance No. 1447 and Sectionl&u,, Part IV, Chapter 16 of the Lubbock City Code, re-
lative to fire zones. '
SECTION 2• The rule requiring an ordinance to be read on two readings before final
passage is hereby suspended, and this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure
f or the reasons set forth in ihe preamble hereof, to take effect immediatel~ after its
passage. •
