I Ct,}'zA·/, 1 WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has ~utf""' been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda- }/-~ s-tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will 7'i ./. ~ '-.~. be in the public interest; and, I.e f,..l.,;N/1 f ~ WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment V ..-i b . to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving ..., notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices ~,"'lu ~---~provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, iiJ~~ and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen ,-(15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on sue proposed. amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the Ghy Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be a m ended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE. CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 816 (A) Change the following described property, to-wit: BEGINNING at a point 1923 .. 86 feet East of the North- west corner of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 5, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE East 660 feet to a point; THENCE South 677 feet to a point; THENCE West 660 feet to a point; THENCE North 677 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING* from an 11R-111 to a uc -311 zoning district. SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: That the owners and/or developers shall make application for and secure a building permit within. ten months after the date of final passage of this ordinance. ~£B) Change the following described property, io·wit: BEGINNING at a point 192.3. 86 feet East of the North- west corner of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 5, Block E. Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE South 6 77 feet to a point; THENCE West 1048 fe et to a point; THENCE North 677 feet to a point; THENCE East 1048 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, from an 11R-l" to an 1'R-3" zoning district. (Said properties being located between A venue Hand Avenue P, South of Loop 289). SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordina ce said lots, tracts, and parcels of land described in Section 1, hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accor- dance herewith.
