AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AN"'ff"THE
OFFICIAL MA.P OF THE CITY. OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 811 :: CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED
AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OY'THE INTERSECTION OF 21ST STREET AND
.NASHVILLE AVENUE FROM AN "R-211 TO AN 11R-3" ZONING DIST RICT •
WHEREAS,. the prop.o~ed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda-
tion., which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration~t
the 'City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set
out will be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied wit~ as well as
giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as
notices provided by Article 1011£, Vernon1 s Annotated Civil Statutes., amended
in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more
than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City
Commission on such proposed amendment~ and the public hearing accor~ng to
said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the
City Hall, Lubbock). Texas., at which time persons appeared in support of the
proposal; an~ after said hearing., it was by the ~ity Commission determined
that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning
Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth
in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final
written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW~ THEREFORE·.,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows11 to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO.; 811
Change the following described property~ to-wit:
A tract of land out of Block 2, John w. Jarrott
Subdivision of the Northwest one .. fourth of Section
15,, Block B •. Lubbock County., Texas~ being des-
cribed by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of said Block 2.
of the said John w. Jarrott Subdivision;
THENCE North 123 feet;
THENCE West 190 feet;
THENCE South 123 feet;

THENCE East 190 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
from an 11R-2." to an "R-3u zoning district.-(Said property
being located at the Northwest corner of the iliersection of
21st Street and Nashville Avenue).
SECTION .2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordi-
nance• said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall
be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in
accordance here~th.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED
