ORDINANCE No.2933
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
FFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWIN
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 781 : PLACE CERTAIN HEREINAFTER DES-
CRIBED PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN 4TH STREET AND 50TH STREET
AND EAST OF YELLOWHOUSE CANYON. WHICH WAS ANNEXED TO THE CITY
OF LUBBOCK BY ORDINANCE NO. Z544 OF SAID CITY, IN THE "R-1", "M-1"
AND uM-Z" ZONING DISTRICTS AS INDICATED IN THE BODY OF THIS
ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the propesed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recomtnenda-
tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, th~~
City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out wi"1t
be in the public interest; and,

Texas, ·at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after sai

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION I. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE an
the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:

(A) Place the following described property (designated
herein as Tract I and Tract 2) in the 11R-l11 Zoning
Distri::t:
TRACT I.
BEGINNING at a point, said point being 565 feet South
and 150 feet East of the Northeast corner of Section 2,
Block B, L'..1bbock County, Texas;
THENCE West for a distance of 3930 feet to a point;
THENCE South for a distance of Z075 feet to a point;
THENCE West for a distance of 180 feet to a point;
THENCE North for a distance of 2640 feet to a point in
the South line of Section 5, Bbck 0;

the East line of the West 1/2 of said Section 5.

THENCE East along the North line of Sections 5 and 6 of
said Block 0, to a point 150 feet East of the Northeast
corner of said Section 5, Block 0;
THENCE South parallel to and 150 feet East of the East
line of said Section 5, Block 0 and Section 2, Block B,
to the point and place of BEGINNING ..

BEGINNING at a point, said point being the Northwest
corner of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 3, Block B, Lub-
bock County, Texas;
THENCE South for a distance of 660 feet to a point;
THENCE West for a distance of 660 feet to a point;
THENCE North for a distance of 460 feet to a point;
THENCE West for a distance of 660 feet to a point;
THENCE North for a distance of 160 feet to a point;
THENCE West for a distance of 361. 4 feet to a point;

THENCE East for a distance of 1681.4 feet to the point

Zoning District (except cer.tain property hereinafter

of the F • W • & D. S. P. Railway;
THENCE Southwesterly abng said right-of-way line to
a point in the City Limit Line of the City of Lubbock,
Texas, as established by Ordinance No. 1339 of said
city;
THENCE Southeasterly along a meandering course, said
course being said City Limit Line as established by
Ordinance No. 1339, to the Northwest corner of Section 1,
of said Block B;
THENCE South continuing along said City Limit Line to
a point 25 feet South of the Northwest corner of the South-
west 1/4 of said Section l, Block B;
THENCE West parallel to and 25 feet Snuth of the 1/2.
Section line to a point in the Northeast .right-Of-way
line of Southeast Drive;
THENCE Southeasterly along said right-of-way line to
a point in the South line of Section 4 of said Block B;

shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended
in accordance herewith.
