ORDINANCE NO. 2897 . 09-}O-(gc:;9 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE ·OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY. OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 799 : CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE 700 TO 1400 BLOCK OF NORTH AVENUE P FROM AN 11 M-111 TO AN "M-211 ZONING DISTRICT: SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: THAT THE OWNERS AND/OR DEVELOPERS SHALL MAKE APPLICATION FOR AND SEGUR A BUilDING PERMIT WITHIN TEN MONTHS AFTER THE DATE OF FINAL PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommen a· tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out wi be in the public interest;and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendmen to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article lOllf, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, a d notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly he in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which· time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amen d in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinanc having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: I SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and!b.e Official Zoning Map BF4 h.n ' the same are hereby amended as follows. to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 799 Change the following described property, to-wit: BEGINNING at a point, said point being 606 feet North of the Southwest corner of Section 15, Block A, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE North 1990. 9 feet to a point; THENCE East. 329.5 feet to a point; THENCE South 1990.9 feet to a point; THENCE West 329.5 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, from an 11 M-1" to an "M-211 zoning district. (Said property .being located in the 700 to thel400 Block of North Avenue P); Subject to the following condition: THAT the owners anqlor developers shall make application for and secure a building permit within ten months after the date of fi.-1al passag_e of this Ordinance. ) SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance said lots, tracts, and parcels of land described in Section 1, hereof shall be changed to the zoning ,district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith.
