AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO., 1~95 ND THE
OFFICIAL MAP--OF THE CITY OF LUBB0CK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO.-. 782 : CHANGE LOT 12~ BLOCK 33,. MORROW
SUBDIVISION, AN ADDITIO.N TO 'THE CITY OF LUBBOCK,LUBBOCK COUNTY1 TEXAS. FROM AN 11R-211 TO A 11C-3tt ZONING DISTRICT·. {sAID PROPERTY
BEING LOCATED IN THE 1700 BLOCK OF EAST 19TH STREET); SUBJECT TO
THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: THAT THE OWNERS AND/OR DEVELOPERS
SHALL MAKE APPLICATION FOR AND SECURE A BUILDING PERMIT WITHIN
TEN MONTHS AFTER THE DATE OF FINAL PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Z~ning and Planning Commission for its recommenda-1
tion~ which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the
City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter 15et out wilj
be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment t
the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953,
and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen
{15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on su ·h
proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly
held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock,
Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said 1 hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public I
interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Ma
be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and
this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading
hereof; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the ·Official Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:

Change Lot 12, Block 33, Morrow Subdivision, an addition to the
·city of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, from an IIR-211 to a uc_-311
zoning district. (Said property being located in the 1700 Block of
East 19th Street); subject to the following condition: That the
owners and/or developers shall make application for and secure a
building permit within ten months after the date of final passage
of this Ordinance. ·
