AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY DF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 778 : (1) CHANGE LOTS 10 THROUGH 17 INCLUSI~
AND LOT 24, BLOCK 10. C~STON ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUB-
BOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM AN "R-2tt TO A "C-411 ZONING
DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: THAT THE OWNERS
AND/OR DEVELOPERS SHALL MAKE APPUCATION FOR AND SECURE A
BUILDING PERMIT WITHIN TEN MONTHS AFTER THE DATE OF FINAL PASSAG
OF TinS ORDINANCE. (2) CHANGE LOTS 18 THROUGH 23 INCLUSIVE, BLOCK
10 OF SAID ADDITION FROM AN 11R-211 TO AN 11R-111 ZONING DISTRICT. (SAID
PROPERTY BEING LOCATED IN THE 2500 BLOCK OF EAST MAIN STREET).
I WHEREAS, the proposed change in--zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda-
tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the
City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will
be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by lawfor a valid amendment to
the Zoning-Ordinance and Map have... been fully complied with, as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided by Article 10llf, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, an~
notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen (15}
days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such
proposed amendment, and the public bearing according to said notice was duly held
in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas,
at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing,
·t .... a:s by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest,
due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amende
:in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance
having been introduced in final written form prior to first neading hereof; NOW,
THEREFORE:
tE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:

SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No .. 1695 and the Official/Map BE and the same

re hereby amended as follows, to-wit: .
ZONE CASE NO,. 778
(1) Change Lots 10 through 17 inclusive, and Lot 24,
Block 10, C. D,. Elliston Addition to the City of Lub•
bock, Lubbock County, Texas, from an 11R-211 to a •C-4"
zoning district; Subject to the Following Condition;
That the owners and/or developers shall make application
for and secure a building permit within' ten months after
the date of final passage of this ordinance,.
(2) Change Lots 18 through 23 inclusive, Block 10 of
said addition from an 11R-211 to an "R-111 zoning district,.
{Sai"d property being locate.d in the 2500 Block of East
Main Street).
SECTION 2,. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance
aid lots tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1, hereof shall be changed
the zoning district indicated and the Official Map_is amended in accordance
· erewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED
