"' ,;z WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has lP X been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda- V ...... ..(~ \ _ ti.on, which was received by the Ciiy Commission and after due consideration, the ~ (111" ) City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will 71' \p · be in the public interest; and, ()\ WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a ~alid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more thanfi.fteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was dilly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubboc Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amen'ded in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written from prior to first reading hereof; NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT' ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE N0.1 775 Change the following described property, to-wit: BEGINNING at a point which is 1147.6 feet South 0°011 1511 East and 75 feet East o£ the Northwest corner of the South- west quarter of Section 3, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE East a distance of 1215. 79 feet to a point; THENCE Southeasterly along a curve to the left (radius equals 321.88 feet) a distance of 82.36 feet to a point of reverse curvature; THENCE Southwesterly along curve to the right (radius equals 15 feet, tangents equal 13. 19 feet, internal angle equals 82°40') a distance of 21 .. 64 feet to a point of com-' pound curvature; THENCE Southwesterly along curve to the right (radius equals 175.2 feet, tangents equal 40.46 feet, internal angle equals 26°00' 18") a distance of 79. 52 feet to· a point of tangency; '· . THENCE West a distance of 1132.5 feet to a point of curvature; THENCE Northwesterly along curve to the right {radius equals 15 fe~t, tangents equal 15 feet) a distance of 23.56 feet to a point of tangency; THENCE North a distance of 101.5 feet to the PLACE OF · BEGINNING, from an "R-111 to an 11R-211 zoning district. (said property being located in the 2400 Block of 62nd Street). SECTION 2. THAT from and after pass~ge and effective date of this Ordinanc , said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith.
