ORDINANCE NO. 2815
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE~ ZONE CASE NO. 772 : CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED
IN THE 2200 BLOCK OF 51ST STREET FROM AN 11R-111 TO AN 11R·3" ZONING
DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda-
tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the
City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will
be in the public inter est;
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to
the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided by Article lOll£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953,
and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche moire than fifteen
(15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on
such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was
'duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubboc
~Texas, at which time persous appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said
hearing, it was: by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public
nterest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map
e amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and
his Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading
hereof; NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
ithe same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 772
Change the North 1/2 of the following described tract of
land, to-wit:
Bein~ a five (5) acre tract out of the Northwest one-fourth
(NW /4) of Section three (3), Block E, Lubbock County, Texas,
described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which is 1320 feet East and 330
feet South of the Northwest corner of the said Section
three;
THENCE East 660 feet to a poi..'lt;
THENCE South 330 feet to a point;
THENCE West 660 feet to a point;
THENCE North 330 feet to the PlACE OF BEGINNING.
from an 11R-111 to ~n 11R-311 zoning district. (Said property
being located in the 2200 Block of 51st Street).
SECTION z. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinanc ,.
said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed
to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accord&nce
herewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED
