AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF TULANE STREET TO
"CHAPARRALROADt~ AT A C~RTAIN LOCATION AND THE NAME OF ~W
COMB STREET TO "COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE" AT A CERTAIN LOCATION;
PROVIDING FOR THE RETAINING OF THE ORIGINAL OFFICIAL NAME IN
PARENTHESIS ON CITY MAPS AFTER THE NEW REVISED NAME. . .
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds it expedient and in the public interest
to change the name~ai ce:.rtain. streets at certain locations as hereinafter set forth;
NOW THEREFORE: .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION _1. The following street-name changes are hereby made:
(A) On that portion of Tulane Street from u. S. Highway
87 West to Avenue "Hu, the street name is changed to
"Chaparral Road11 ; provided however, that the original
official name of 11 Tula.ne" shall be shown in parenthesis
after the new revised name on City Maps.
{B) On that portion of Newcomb Street from u. s. High-
way 87 to Avem:/.e ttDu, the street name i s changed to
"Country Club brive"; provided however, that the original
··offiCial name of "Newcomb11 shall be shown in parenthesis
after the new revised name on City Maps.
SECTION 2.. The City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed 1o indicate
the revisions provided for in Section 1 hereof on the Street-Naming Maps of the
City of Lubbock and other appropriate City Maps as may be necessary and con-
venient to proper identification for said revisions.
