CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 763: PlACE CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING SOUTH OF 34TH STREET AND WEST OF SLIDE ROAD IN THE PERMANENT 11R-l" r:z_ ZONING DISTRICT SAVE AND EXCEPT TRACTS I, 2, and 3 AS DESCRIBED IN ~1 THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE WHICH FORM A PART OF SAID PROPERTY; '{-~;;_~,Sf AND (A) PlACE TRACT I WlUCH LIES SOUTH OF THE BROWNFIELD ROAD AND WEST OF DOVER AVENUE IN THE 11C-411 ZONING DISTRICT• (B) PlACE ~ I TRACT 2 WlUCH LIES NORTH OF BROWNFIELD ROAD AND EAST OF LOOP Y1:.::l~ 289 IN THE 11 M-I11 ZONING DISTRICT; (C) PlACE TRACT 3 WHICH LIES NOR1l!H P<..,. OF THE BROWNFIELD ROAD AND WEST OF LOOP 289 IN THE "M·l" ZONING DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made hae been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendati n, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City Commission finds tha.t making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Verno.n 1s Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was dul held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Te a~ at which times persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearin , it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amend d in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinanc having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW, THEREFORE: --BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 763 Place the following described property in the permanent "R-111 Zoning Distric:;t save and except Tracts 1. 2. and 3 hereafter described which form a part of said property, to-wit: BEGINNING at a point, said point being in the South right- of-way line of 34th Street and the City Limit Line of the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, as established by Annexation Ordinance No. 2.535 of said city; . THENCE East along the South right-of-way line of 34th Street to a point, said point being 40 feet East of the West line of Section 6, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas; .• THENCE South to a point, said point being 150 feet South of the North line of said Section 6, Block E -2; THENCE East parallel to and 150 feet South of said North line of Section 6, Block E-2 to a point, said point being in the North right-of-way line of the Seagrave.s Branch of the Panhandle and Santa Fe Railwayi THENCE in a Northeasterly direction along said railway right-of-way line to a point, said point being 150 feet West of the East line of Section 5, Block E-2, Lllbbock County, Texas; THENCE Sollth parallel to and 150 feet West of the East line of Sections 5, 6, 28, and 27, Block E-2, Lllbbock County, Texas, to a point, said point being 150 feet South of the North line of Section 27, Block E-2, Lubbock C ounty, Texas; THENCE East parallel to and 150 feet South of said North line of Section 2 7, Block E-2 to a point, said point being in the West right-of-way line of Slide Road; THENCE South along said West right-of-way line of Slide Road to a point, said point being in the City Limit Line of the City of Lubbock as established by said Annexation Ordinance No. 2535; THENCE West along said City U.mit Line as established by said Ordinance No. 2535 to a point, aaid point being 150 feet South and 150 feet West of the Northeast corner of Section 27, Block A-K, Lubbock Collnty, Texas; THENCE North along said City Limit Line as established by said Ordinance No. 2535 to the POINT AND PlACE OF BEGINNING; Said property being recently annexed to the City of Lubbock and is in the temporary "R-111 Zoning District. (Said property lying South of 34th Street and West of Slide Road). (A) Place the following de•cribed tract of land in the 11C-4" Zoning District: TRACT 1 -Lots 1 through 22 inclllsive, Block 6. West- morelind Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; (B) Place the following described tract of land in the 11 M-I" Zoning District: TRAC.T 2 -BEGINNING at a point, said point being the intersection of the East right-of-way line of Loop 289 and the North right-of-way line of the Seagravee; branch of the Panhandle and Santa Fe Railway in the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE North 53°571 East along .. said railway right- of•way line 1, 900 feet more or less to a corner of said railway right-of-way; , THENCE South 36°03' East along said railway right- of-way line 50 feet to a point; ~ THENCE North 530571 Eae;t along said railway right- of-way line 408 fe.et to a point; THENCE South 36°031 East 100 feet to a point in the North right-of-way line of Brownfield Road; THENCE in a Southwesterly direction along the No;-th right-of-way line of Brownfield Road 2, 300 feet more or less to a point, said point being 300 feet South 360 031 East of the be.ginning point of this tract; THENCE North 36°03 t West 300 feet to the POINT . AND PlACE OF BEGINNING. (c) Place the following described tract of land in the 11M-l11 Zoning District; TRACT 3 -BEGINNING at a point, said point being ~outh 53°571 West 585.9 feet from the intersection of the East right-of-way line of Loop 289 and the North right-of-way line of the Seagraves branch of the Panhandle and Santa Fe Railway in the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texae;; THENCE South 11°571 East 250 feet more or less to a point in the North right-of-way line of Brownfield Road; THENCE in a Southwes~erly direction along the North right-of-way line of Brownfield Road 2, 870 feet to a point; THENCE North 36°03' West 715 feet to a point; THENCE North 2, 650 feet to a point; THENCE East 2, 400 feet to a point; THENCE South 200061 East.450 feet to a point; THENCE in a Southerly direction 948 feet more or less to the POINT AND PLACE OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance, said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof sha be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith. . . ... .
