"-,1 ....,-·, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE;AND I
DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY
OF LUBBOCK TO INDICATE THE-CLOSING AND ABANDONMENT OF SAID
PORTION OF 2.2.ND STREET AS AFORESAID.
WHEREAS,. the· City Commission finds that a portion of 2.2nd Street as here-
inafter more particularly described is no longer needed for street purposes or
for public use; and,
WHEREAS,_ the City Commission finds it would be to the public interest to
close, vacate and abandon same for street purposes and to public use; NOW
THEREFORE•
BE IT' ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT a portion of ·zznd Street, as hereinafter described1 shal~
BE and the same is hereby closed, vacated and a:bandoned for street purposes
and for public use; said tract of land being particularly described-as follows1>
to-wit:
A portion of 2.2.nd Street being the North 6. 05 feet of said 22.nd Street,
S outh of and abutting Cope Addition to the City of Lubbock, and
lying West of the intersection of said 2.2nd Street with Oxford Avenue,
in the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of Cope Addition to the City of
Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE South 6. 05 feet;
THENCE West 211. 72 feet;
THENCE North 6. 05 feet to the Southwest corner of Cope Addition;
THENCE East 2.11. 78 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized·as directed to
mark the Official Map of the City of Lubboc~ to indicate that the Portion of 22.nd
Street as described in Section 1 hereof, has been closed, and abandoned showing
the number of this ordinance and the date of its final passage.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED
