HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 2656-1958 - Amending Zoning Ordinance 1695 And The Official Zoning Map Of The City - 12/11/1958I'" -J " \d--\ \ - ORDINANCE NO. 2656 I ~-B\ -\.95<?.; AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOW- ING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 726 -CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE NORTHE'AST'"'C<'.5RNE!t<.5Y°THE INTERSECTION OF AVENUE Q AND SOT STREET FROM AN 11R-211 TO A 11C-411 ZONING DISTRICT;; SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: THAT THE OWNERS AND/OR DEVELOPERS SHALL MAKE APPLICATION FOR AND SECURE A BUILDING PER:MIT WITHIN TEN MONTHS AFTER THE DATE OF FINAL PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 2299 WIUCH AFFECTED THE ZONING DISTRCT OF SAID PROPERTY: WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has ;been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda- tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Orclnance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article l 01 lf, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen (15) days_ prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on sue proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly he in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, t which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, i was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinanc having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE, SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to·•wit: ZONE CASE NO. 72-6 ---------------- Change the following described property in the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, from an 11R-Z11 to a "C-411 zoning district, and being described as follows: Property •1fi~g between the East right-of-way line of Avenue Q and a line, .. ~aid line being parallel to and 431.41 feet West of the East line of Section 10, Block B, Lubbock County, Texas, and lying between the North right-of-way line of 50th Street, and a line, said line being parallel to and 166. 25 feet North of the South line of said Section l 0, Block B (said property being located at the Northeast corner of the intersection of Avenue Q and 50th Street): Subject to the following condition. That the · owners and/or developers shall make application for and secure a building permit within ten months after the date of final passage of this Ordinance. SECTION 2 .• THAT frol?'l and after passage and effective date of this Ordi.na ce said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section l hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance here it' SECTION 3.
