HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 2655-1958 - Amending Zoning Ordinance 1695 And The Official Map Of The City. - 12/11/1958l~-\\-\()50 ORDINANCE NO.: 2655 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORJa~i✓c~ ~J~ ~--9--~.-A_N_D_T_HE_ OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOW- ING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 72.4 -CHAN GE LO TS 10 THROUGH 16 INCLUSIVE• BLOCK 17,, ACUFF HEIGHTS ADDITION FROM AN 11R-l II TO AN 11M-Z11 ZONING DISTRICT (SAID PROPERTY BEING LOCATED IN THE 1100 BLOCK OF FIRST STREET); SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: THAT THE OWNERS AND/ OR DEVELOPERS SHALL MAKE APPLICATION FO AND SECURE A BUILDING PERMIT WITHIN TEN MONTHS AFTER THE DATE OF FINAL PASSAGE OF TIIlS ORDINANCE. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Co'!llmission for its recommen- dation. which was received by the City Commission and after due consideratio~ the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and;J WHEREAS,. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied witl¼. as well as giving ~otices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 101 Hi Vernon1 s Annotated Civil Statutes amended in -1953~ and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas:, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing~ it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest,, due to changed corxlitionst, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE,. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:1 SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Map BE and t1i.e same are hereby amended as follows to-wit: , ZONE CASE NO. 724 Change Lots 10 through l 6 inclusive, Block l 7i, Acuff Heights Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County,, Texas, from an "R."'l 11 to an "M .. 2,11 zoning district (Said property being located in the 1100 Block of First Street); subject to the following condition: l. That the owners and/or developers shall make application for and secure a building permit within ten months after_ the date of final passage of this ordinance. / SECTION 2.
