HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 2649-1958 - Amending Zoning Ordinance 1695 And Official Map Of The City. - 12/11/1958\ ., /,.,;/ £-I ~) -v,., .. .-tt· c-L- ~.,,.~~===~· =="':l:d:.!J/1,~'=""' =====:=====r,~a ~R",====r".\ g~-~e~=;:...,;~=" =ft= ORDINANCE NO.~ ~ \ a-'31-1.952> 1 C_V t AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE ., 1:i--1r.J-.OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOW- ING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 718 -CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT slrn~Ll..EGE AVENUE IN THE CITY OF LUBBOC~ TEXAS, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF TillS ORDINANCE FROM AN "R-111 TO AN 11R-311 ZONING DISTRICT: SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOW ING CONDITION: THAT THE OWNERS AND/OR DEVELOPERS SHALL MAKE APPUCATION FOR AND SE.CURE A BUILDING PERMIT WITHIN TEN MONTHS AFTER THE DATE OF FINAL PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendation, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest ;and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices , provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, • and notice was duly p ublished in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than . fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the p ublic hearing before the City Commissi · on such_ proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubboc , Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the prorosal; and, after sai hearing it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of tris Oirdinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAfNED BY THE CITY COMNCTSSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION l. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby. amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 718 --------------- Change the following described property from an 11R-l11 to an "R-311 zoning district: BEGINNING at a point, said point being 60 feet East and 75 feet South of the Northwest corner of Section 3, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE East 270 feet to a point; THENCE South 255 feet to a point; THENCE West 270 feet to a point; THENCE North 255 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING (Said property being located at 5001 College Avenue). Subject to the Following Condition: I ~. That the owners and/or developers shall made application for and secure a building permit within ten months after the date of final passage of this Ordinance. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance, said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section l hereof shall be _changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith.
