'--"" ,.,,_,..· pl~ \, \ ,J.V?..tL ! -q,. \l -,{) -- - -J}~ ORDINANCE NO. 2648 l~-31 -1.9c\9 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 169? it'ND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOW- ING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 717 -CHANGE LOTS 14, 15, 16, AND 17, BLOCK 16, Me"~ltu~MEN"°S~~nN]5A.DDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM AN 11R-l11 TO A 11 c--211 ZONING DISTRICT. (SAID PROPER TY BEING LOCATED AT 1620-1626. ·24TH STREET} SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: {I) THAT A SOUD SEVEN FOOT VISUAL SCREENING WALL OR FENCE OF MASONRY CONSTRUCTION OR THE EQUIVALENT BE CONSTRUCTED ALONG THE EAST PROPERTY LINE, SAID WALL OR FENCE SHALL CONFORM WITH EXISTING ZONING REGULATIONS. (2) THAT THE OWNERS ANDIOR DEVELOPERS SHALL MAKE APPLlCATION FOR AND SECURE A BUil.DI,NG PERMIT WITlllN TEN MONTHS AFTER THE DATE OF FINAL PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made ha been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda- tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, th City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interestj and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices _in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Stat11tes, amended in 1953, and notic.e was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fiftee (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbo Texas, at wlich time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said~ hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth . in the body of this Ordinanc and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior_ to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE, !3E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE an the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 717 ------------------ Change Lots 14, 15, 16 and 17, Block 16, McCrummen Second Addition to the City of.Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, from an 11R-l11 to a 11C-211 Zoning District. (Said property being located at 1620-1626 24th Street; subject to the following conditions: · 1.-That a solid seven foot visual screening wall or fence of masonry construction or the equivalent be constructed along the East property line. Said wall or fence shall conform with existing zoning regulations. 2. That the owners and/or developers shall make applica- tion for and secure a building permit within ten months after the date of final passage of this ordinance. J SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance said lots, tracts, ·and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
