AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO.; 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY' OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO• 703: CHANGE LOTS ~. 3a 4,, AND 5 .• BLOCK 411k
C.; L.o VAUGHN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK~ LUBBOCK COUNTY,.
TEXAS FROM AN uR~211 TO A 11C•411 ZONING DISTRICT. (VICINITY OF 35TH
STREET AND A VENUE B) •
WHEREAS~ the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recQmmendati
which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration,. the City
Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinaf~er set out will be
in the public interest; an~
WHEREAS,., all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendm.ent
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with.,, as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section ZO of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided by Article 10llf;. Vernont.s Annotated Civil Statutes~ amended. in 195311
and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen
(15) days. prior to the date of the public hearlng before the City Commission on
such prQposed amendrn.ent;o. and the public hearing according to said notice was
duly held in the City Commission R,oom on the first floor of the City HalL,, Lubboc
Texas~ at which time per sons appeared in support of the proposal; an~ after
said hearing. it was by the City Commission determined that it would ba in the
public interest,_. due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the
Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this
Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior
to first reading hereof; NOW!It THERErORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:

SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No,i 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and l
the same are hereby amended as follo~s~ to":"wit:
ZONE CASE NO.o 703
Change Lots Z;t 3;t. 4a and 5, Block 4~ c. L.. Vaughn
Addition to the City of Lubbock:t. Lubbock County~ Texas
from an "R~211 to a 11 C ... 411 zoning district,. (Vicinity of
35th Street and Avenue B)•
SECTION z. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this
Ordinance».. said lots,. tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shal
be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in
accordance here~th•
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
