JARROTT ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOC~ LUBBOCK COUNTY~ TEXAS11 FROM AN "R-Z" TO AN "R-311 ZONING DISTRICT. (VICINITY OF 20TH STREET AND MEMPHIS AVENUE)a SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: (1) THAT A SOLID SEVEN FOOT VISUAL SCREENING FENCE OR WALL" OF MASONRY CONSTRUCTION OR THE EQUIVALENT'Jil BE PLACED ALONG THE REAR PROPERTY LINE OF SAID LOTS 11 Z AND 3 AND THAT SAID FENCE OR WALL BE REDUCED IN HEIGHTH ON LOT 1 SUFFICIENT TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE VISUAL CLEARANCE FOR THE ALLEY ENTERING MEMPIDS AVENUE.; WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts· as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recomm.endation:~~ which was received by the City Conunission and after due consideration,. the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amend- ment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied wit~ as well as giving notices in compliance with Section ZO of Ordinance No. 1695, amended in 1953 and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Ava- lanche more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment., and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock., Texas:t at which time pe:rsons appeared in support of the proposal; an~ after said public hearing~ it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions~ that the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 688 : Change Lots 1~ 2 and 3, Block Z, Reeder Subdivision of John W. Jarratt Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas,, from an "R-Z" to an "R-311 zoning district. (Vicinity of ZOth Street and Memplrls Avenue)~ subject to the following condition: (1) That a solid seven foot visual screening fence or wall, of mas~nry construction or the equivalent, be placed along the rear property bne of ·said Lots 1 2 and 3 and that said fence or wall be reduced in heighth '· on Lot 1 sufficient to provide adequate visual clearance for the alley entering Memphis Avenue. SECTION ·z. THAT from and after passage anc _.......:ective date of this Ordinance~ said lots, tracts and parcels of land dl.."'scribed in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the Zoning District indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith.
