. has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recom-
mendation, which was received by the City Commission and after due considera-
tion, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter
. set out will be in the public interestj and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amend-
ment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well
as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695, as
well as notices provided by Article lOllf, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutues,
amended in 1953 a nd notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche
more than fifteen (lf) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the
City Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according
to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of
the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of
the proposal; and, after said public hearing, it was by the City Commission
determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions,
that the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter
set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced
in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE
and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 692 ---------------
Change the East 300 feet of the South one-half ( 5 1/2) of Tract Five
(5) in Block Four {4), Witt Acres Addition to the Cio/ of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas, from the 11R-2tt to the 11 R-311 zoning district;
subject to the following conditions:
1. That the structure to be constructed on the property be
harmonious with the residential character of the neighborhood.
· 2. That the building setback shall be controlled when the property
is platted, and no building permit shall be issued on the property
until it is platted.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this
Ordinance, said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof
I shall be changed to the Zoning District indicated and the Official Map is amended
in accordance herewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
