ORDINANCE NO. 2450
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
BILLS OF SALE TO ALL PERSONAL PROPERTY BELONGING TO THE CITY
OF LUBBOCK. THE SALE OF WinCH HAS BEEN AU.THORIZED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, in connection with securing rights of way and disposing of
other personal property belonging to the City of Lubbock, the Commission finds
that it would expedite the handling of the City's business to authorize the City
Manager to execute Bills of Sale to such personal property; and,
WHEREAS, several such transactions are now pending and the need
exists" for prompt execution of such instruments and creates an emergency;
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the City Manager BE and he is hereby authorized and directe
to execute Bills of Sale for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock where the sale
of personal property has been authorized by the City Commission, such sales
to be made for such consideration as the Commission may authorize, and under
such other terms and conditions as may be d e emed expedient.
SECTION 2. All Bills of Sale heretofore executed by the City Manager for and
on be hal( of the City of Lubbock where the same have been authorized by the
City Commission, are hereby ratified and confirmed as the act and deed of the
City of Lubbock.
Whereas, the subject matter of this Ordinance deals with the daily operation of
the Right of Way and other departments in expediting transactions authorized
by the City Commission creates an emergency requiring the suspension of all
rules with reference to approving the reading of ordinances on more than one
time and the same are hereby suspended; and this Ordinance shall become effectiv
on the date of its approval and passage, as an emergency measure.
