AN APPROPRIATION oaDINANCE
WHEREAS, the City ·commission of the City of Lubbock finda it le nee.•
ea•ary to appropriate certain specific fundi out of bond fundi for an ap•
proved project, and this ordinance deale with the dally operation of City c:le•
partm-ents in the public interest which creates an emeraency; NOW• THERE•
FORE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
There is her.e by appropriated out of the bllowing deac.rlbed boDd fund,
to-wit: 1956 Street Light Bond Fund
Th~ sum $ 7,000.00
For the following purpose: To install 50 street lights in the residential
areas, primarily for intersection ill41ilinatinn. These installations 'Will be
accompli shed under General work order 10,108.
NOTE: The cost for all lights installed in newly developed areas will be reimbursed
from pro-rata payments made by developers, upon completion of the insts lla*'-ions.
WHEREAS, an emergency exists as shown in the preamble to thle
-:>rdina.nce. the enactment of this ordinance is declared to be an emer•
gency measure thereby creating a public neceaaity that the rule re•
quiring proposed ordinances to be presented at two (~) separate -c.om•
mission meetings be disp.ensed with; and this o.rdin&nce shall be effec-
tive from the date of its passage.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
