WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda- tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration~ the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out wil be in the public interest; an<4 WHEREAS> all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695, as well as notices provided by Article lOU£~ Vernon1 s .Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953 and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lub- bock, Texas, at which time per sons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after saiQ. hearin~ it was by the City Commission. determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the OOicial Zoning Map BE and th same are hereby amended as follows~ to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 679: Change the following described property in the City of Lubbock~ Lubbock County~ Texas~ from an 11R-211 to a 11C-411 zoning distr ct; BEGINNING at a point~ said point being 630. 35 feet east and 100 feet north of the southwest corner of Section 2., Block E-2~ Lubbock Countyt. Texas; THENCE west 50 feet to a pointj THENCE north 240. 62 feet to a point; THENCE east 50 feet to a point; THENCE south 240. 62 feet to the point of beginning. (Vicinity of 19th Street and Peoria Avenue) SECTION 2.
