AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING THAT PORTION OF 49TH
STREET ADJACENT TO LOTS 4 AND 5, MAC-FELL ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, AS MORE PARTICUlARLY
DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND DIRECTING THE CITY
ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK
INDICATING THE CLOSING AND ABANDONMENT OF THE AFORESAID POR-
TION OF 49TH STREET • . ..
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that a portion of 49th Street herein-
after described in the body of this Ordinance is 'no longer needed for street
purposes and for public purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the City Commission' finds that it would be to the public interest
to close, vacate and abandon the same for street purposes and to public travel
and for all public purposes; NOW, THEREFORE,.
BE IT ORDAINED M THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the following described portion of 49th Street in the City
of Lubbock, Lul?bock County, Texas, to-wit:
A. tract of land out of the ;East half of Lot 1, Block 32., Crump Five
Acre Addition; and b~ng further sub-divided into Lots 4 and 5,
Mac-Fell Addition, to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas,
more fully deseribed by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of Lot 5, Mac-Fell Addition;
THENCE South 2.5 feet to a point;
THENCE West 12.2.. 05 feet to a point in the East line of an alley;
THENCE North 2.5 feet to a point, said point being the Southwest
corner of Lot 4, Mac-Fell Addition;
THENCE East along the South line of Lots 4 and 5, a distance of
12.2.. 05 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING;
BE and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for street purposes
and to public travel and for all public purposes.
SECTION 2.. THAT the City Engineer of the City of Lubbock is hereby
autlx>:rized and directed to mark the official map of the City of Lubbock indicating

I the portion of 49th Slreet as described in Section 1 hereof has been closed,
vacated and abandoned and showing the number of this Ordinance and the date
of its final passage.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
