AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBDIVISION 14.1-85 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1699
OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK TO READ HEREAFTER AS SET FORTH IN THE
BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE; PRESCRIBING A PENALTY; AND PROVIDING
FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the matter of further limiting and defining 11 stock yards" as a
permitted use in an "M-211 zoning district has been referred to the Planning and
Zoning Commission of the City of Lubbock; and,
WHEREAS,. the City Commission, after receiving such report and recom-
mendations, finds that it would be to the interest of the public health, and
general welfare to amend Ordi~ance No. 1695 of the City o.f Lubbock as hereafter
set forth in the body of this ordinance; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Subdivision 14.1-85 of Ordinance No. 1695 of the City
of Lubbock BE and the same is hereby ame:1ded to read hereafter as follows:
1114.1 Uses Permitted
-14.1-85 Stockyards> provided hogs and other swine shall
not be permitted except in areas and under regulations
of the Lubbock City Code specially applicable to the
keeping of live hogs or other swine. 11
SECTION 2. THAT any person, firm or corporation violating the provi-
sions of this ordinance shall upon conviction be fined in any sum not to exceed
$200. 00.
. SECTION 3. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed
to publish this ordinance once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper
regularly published in the City of Lubbock, Texas, and this ordinance shall
become effective ten days after its last publication.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
