AND THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 646 : CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY HEREAFTER DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM AN "R-1" TO A "C-3" ZONING DISTRICT • WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Corrunission for its recommendation. which reconunendation was received by the City Com- missio~ and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public inte.rest; and, WHEREAS. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied wit~ as well as giving all notices in compliance with Section 2.0 of Ordinance No. 1695, as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Ve.rnon1e Annotated Civil Statutes, as amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas:~ at which time persons appeared in support of the proposali .an~ after said public heamg1 it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions~ that the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this ordinance, and this ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereofi NOW.,. THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 646: Change the following described property in the-City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, from an 11R-l" to a "C-3" zoning district: A 4. 12 acre tract of land located in Section 2., Block A, Lubbock County, Texas~ described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a 3/ 4" iron rod which bears north 89°15' east, 0 990 feet and no.rthO 141 3011 west, 60 feet f.r.om the southwest corner of Section 2.:~ Block Ai THENCE north 0° 14' 3011 west a distance of 511. 5 feet to a 3/411 iron pipe set in the south .right-of-way line of the highwayi 0 THENCE south 56. 2.41 30 11 west in the south line of highway a distance of 222..1 feet to a concrete right-of-way markerJ THENCE south 56 ° 14' 3011 west in the south line of highway a distance of 411.4 feet to a concrete right-of-way marker; THENCE south 64° 42,t 5011 west a distance of 126. 5 feet to a concrete right-of-way marker; THENCE south 0° 41 t 10 11 east a distance of 41. 5 feet to a concrete right-of-way marker; 0 THENCE north 89 1St east a distance of 169 feet to a 3/ 4" rod; THENCE south 87° 531 east a distance of ZOO.
