AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING AND AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE
NO. 1695 AS AMENDED; AND EXTENDING. SUPPLEMENTING AND AMEND•
ING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO THAT THE

ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AS AMENDED, AND SHALL BE INCLUDED AND
CONTAINED IN THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK IN
THE ZONING DISTRICT HEREINAFTER SET FORTH AS FOLLOWS: ZONE
CASE NO. 654 -PLACE ALL THOSE AREAS PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE, WHICH AREAS ·~ l -WERE ANNEXED TO THE CITY ON JUNE 13, 1957 BY ORDINANCE NO. 2198,

WHEREAS, the hereinafter described area was not included in and made a
part of the Official Zoning Map of the C ity of Lubbock on the effective date of
Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 as originally enacted; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed changes in and supplements to the zoning districts
as hereinafter made have been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commis-
sion for_ its recommendation, which recommendation was received by the City
Commission, and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making ..
the propQ.sed changes and supplements as hereinafter set out will be in the public
interest; and,
U WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid supplement
and amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with as
well as giving all notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as
well as notices provided by Article lOll£, Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes, as
amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche
more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of public hearing before the City
Commission on such notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the
first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in
support of the proposal; and, after said hearing it was by the City Commission
determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that
the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended and supplemented in sub-
stantial compliance with the proposal, and this Ordinance having been introduced
in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW • TI-EREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 as amended and the Official
Zoning Map of the City of Lubbock BE and the same are hereby amended and
included in the respective zoning districts of the City of Lubbock as h ereinafter
set forth, and so included and shown upon the Official Zoning Map of the City of
Lubbock, as follows:
ZONE CASE NO. 654
Place all the following described areas annexed to the City of Lubbock
on June 13, 1957 in the "R-111 Zoning District, to-wit:
BEGINNING at a point in the present City Limit Line as
described in Ordinance 1818, said point being 2640.8 feet
West of the Southeast corner of Section 7, Block E•2,
Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE South a distance of 150 feet to a point;
THENCE West parallel to and 150 feet South of the North
line of Section 12, Block E-2, a distance of 2640 feet more
or less to a point, said point being 150 feet South of the
Northwest corner of Section 12, Block E-2;
THENCE North along the West lines of Sections 12 &: 7,
Block E-2. past the Northwest corner of Section 1~, Block E-2.,
a total distance of 2790 feet more or less to the Northwest
corner of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 7, Block E-2, same
being a point on the present City Limit Line as described in
Ordinance 1746;
THENCE East along the present City Limit Line as described
in Ordinance 1746 a distance of 1320 feet to a ~oint, said point
being the Northeast corner of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest
1/4 of said Section 7, Block E-2.i
THENCE South along the present City Limit Line as described
in Ordinance 1746 a distance of 132.0 feet to a point; said point
being the Southeast corner of the Northwest 1/4 of Southwest 1/4
of Section 7, Block E-2;
THENCE East along the present City Limit Line as described
in Ordinance 1746 a distance of 132.0 feet to a point, said point
being the Northeast corner of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southwest
1/4 of Section 7, Block E-2.;
THENCE South along the present City Limit Line as established
by Ordinance 1818 a distance of 1320 feet more or less to the
POINT OF BEGINNING and containing approximately 12.9.1 acres.
(Vicinity of 66th Street and Indiana Avenue).
SECTION z.. THAT from and after pas~age and effective date of this
Ordinance said lots, tracts and parcels efland described in Section 1 hereof shall
be placed in the zoning districts indicated, and shall be l)ubject to all pertinent
provisions of the said Zoning Ordinance No. 1695, as amended and the Official
Zoning Map o£ the City of Lubbock is hereby amended and extended in accordance
herewith.
