WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Lubbock linda lt is nee•
es•ary to appropriate certain specific fund• out of bond funds for an ap•
proved project, and this ordinance deals with the dally operatlou of City de•
partm-ents in the public interest which cre&tea an emergency; NOW-. THERE•
FORE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
There is her.eby appropriated out of the bllowlna desc.rlbed bond fund,
to•wit: Right· of W<iy Bond Funds
Th~ sum$ 7039.50
Fo.r the following purpose:
To purchase 5.99S acres out of the Southwest corner of the SWt of the Section
6, Bl ock A, from H. V. Newton and wife for right of w~ for Loop 289 •t the
rate of f500 an acre totalling $2,999.00 plus $3,960.50 for irrigation changes
and $80.00 for abstract arrl filing fees making a gr&nd total of $7039.50.
WHEREAS. an emergency exists as shown in the preamble to this
ordinance~< the enactment of this ordinance is declared to be an emer-
gency mea.sure thereby creating a public neces.sity that the rule re•
quiring proposed ordinances to be presented at two (~) separate ~om•
mission meetings be dispensed with; and this or dinance shall be effee•
tive from the date of its passage.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
