AN ORDINANCE CANCELLING A PORTION OF APPROPRIATION ORDI-
NANCE NO. 186Z; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND PRESCRIBING
THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE• '
WHEREAS, appropriation ordinance No. 1862. was passed which included
$Z4, 900. 00 for grading, grass and sprinkler system on McKenzie State Park,
and the Conunission finds that it is not practicable .at this time to use said
funds for the purpose appropriated, although a small amowtt of said fwtd
had been used for planting; and,
WHEREA~ this ordinance deals with the appropriation of funds and the
daily operation of a department, which creates an emergency, NOW THERE-
FORE:

B.E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION l. THAT the appropriation made in Ordinance No. 186Z .for the
purpose of grading, grass and sprinkler system on McKenzie State Park
BE and the same is hereby cancelled to the extent of $24, 70Z. 42.
SE(CTION 2. THAT due to the fact that.this is an appropriation ordinance
and deals with the daily operation of a department, an emergency is
created and all rules suspended requiring more than one reading, and this
ordinance shall become effective the lOth day of October, 1957.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
