HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 2314-1957 - Ordinance Amending Zoning Ordinance 1695 Amending And Extending City Limits - 09/12/1957ORDINANCE NO. 2314 0.9 -~ 4 -1.9 5 =i- AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING AND AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AS AMENDED AND EXTENDING, SUPPLEMENTING AND AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, SO THAT THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED AREA, WHICH WAS NOT CONTAINED OR INCLUD IN THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK UPON THE EFFE- CTIVE DATE OF SAID ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AS ORIGINALLY ENACTED, SHAL BE SUBJECT TO ALL OF THE PERTINENT PROVISIONS CONTAINED IN SAID ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AS AMENDED, AND SHALL BE INCLUDED AND CONTAINED IN THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, IN THE ZONING DISTRICT HEREINAFTER SET FORTH AS FOLLOWS: ZONE CASE NO. 644 •TO PLACE ALL THOSE AREAS PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE, WHICH AREAS WERE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK ON MAY 9, 1957 BY ORDINANCE NO. Zl7-0,. IN ZONING DISTRICTS AS INDICATED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE. _WHEREAS, the hereinafter described area was not included in and made a part of the Official Zoning Map of the City of Lubbock on the effective date of Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 as originally enacted; and. WHEREAS, the proposed changes in and supplements to the zoning districts as hereinafter made have been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Com- mission -for its recommendation, which recommendation was received by the City Commission, and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making th-e proposed changes and supplements all hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid supplement and amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with as well as giving all notices in compliance with Section ZO of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, as amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commis8ion on such notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubboc;k, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal, and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it. would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended and supplemented as hereafter set forth, and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY 1'HE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:" SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 as amended and the Official Zoning Map of the Gity of Lubboe.k BE and the same are hereby amended and supplemente so that the hereinafter described areas shall be placed and included in the respecti zoning districts of the City of Lubbock as hereinafter set forth, and so included -Page One - and shown upon the Official Zoning Map of the City of Lubbockp as follows: ZONE CASE NO. 644 --~ .... .....--.-..-........... __ Place all the following described areaa in zoning districts as indicated, to-wit: Those areas annexed to the City of Lubbock on May 9., 1957 by Ordinance No. 2170, said areas being described by met~s and bounds as follows, to-wit: 1. Place the following described property in the 11R•2" Zoning District: BEGINNING at a point, said point being in the City Limit Line of the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, as established by Annexation Ordinance No. 946 of the City of Lubbock, and one ... hundred eighty (180) feet North of the South line of Survey 6, Block .B, Labbock County, Texasj THENCE East to a point, said point being nine-hundred ninety (990) feet East of the West line of said Survey 6, Block B; THENCE North one-thousand one-hundred twenty-five (1, 125) feet to a point; THENCE West to a point, said point being in said City Limit Line as established by Annexation Ordinance No. 946 .of the City of Lubbocki THENCE South to the POINT OF BEGINNING. z.
