AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING AND AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE
NO. 1695 AS AMENDED; AND EXTENDING, SUPPLEMENTING AND AMEND-
ING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, SO THAT THE
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED AREA, WHICH WAS NOT CONTAINED OR INCLUD-
ED IN THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK UPON THE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF SAID ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AS ORIGINALLY ENACTED,
.SHALL BE SUBJECT TO ALL OF THE PERTINENT PROVISIONS CONTAINED
IN SAID ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AS AMENDED, AND SHALL BE INCLUD
ED AND CONTAINED IN THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
LUBBOCK, IN THE ZONING DISTRICT HEREINAFTER SET FORTH AS FOLIO
ZONE CASE NO. 64Z-TO PLACE ALL THOSE AREAS PARTICULARLY DES-
CRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE, WHICH
AREAS WERE ANN~XED TO THE CITY OF LUBBOGK ON MAY 9, 1957 BY
ORDINANCE NO. Zl68, IN ZONING DISTRICTS AS INDICATED IN THE BODY
OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described area was not included in and made a
part of the Official Zoning Map of the City of Lubbock on the effective date of
Zoning Ordinance No. 1695, as originally enacted; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed changes in and supplements to the zoning districts
as hereinafter made have be~n fuly presented to the Zoning and Planning Com-
mission for its recommendation,. which recommendation was received by the
City Commission, and after due consideratiopp the City Commission finds that
making the prcposed changes and supplements as hereinafter set out will be in
the public interestt and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid supplement
and amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with
as well as giving all notices in compliance with Section ZO of Ordinance No. 1695
as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes,
as amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning
Avalanche more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing
before the City Commission on such notice was duly held in the City Commission
Room on tlle first ~loor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons
appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City
Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed
conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended and
supplemented in substantial compliance with the proposal, and this ordinance
having been introduced in final wriifen form prior to first reading hereof; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No, 1695, as amended and the Official Zoning
Mai> of the City .of Lubbock BE, and the same are hereby amended and supplement
ed,. so that the hereinafter described areas shall be placed and included in the
respective zoning districts of the City of Lubbock as hereinafter set forth, and
so included and shown upon the Official Zoning Map of the City of Lubbock, as
follows:

Place all the following described areas in zoning di~tricts as indicated,
to-wit! Tho~e areas annexed to the City of Lubbock on May 9. 1957 by
Ordinance No. 2168, said areas being de~cribed by m.-etes and bounds as follow~
to•wit:
1. Place the following de~cribed property in the nR-111 Zoning District:
BEGINNING at a point, said point being one-hundred eighty-two
{182) feet North of the Southwest corner of Survey 4. Block B,.
Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE North along the West line of said Survey 4, Block B,
to a point, said point being twenty-five (25) feet South of the
North line of the South one-half of said Survey 4, Block BJ
THENCE East, parallel to and twenty-five (25) feet South of the
North line of the South one-half of said Survey 4, Block B, to a
point, said point being in the Southwest right-of-way line of the
Slaton Branch of the Panhandle and Santa Fe Railway;
THENCE in a Southeasterly direction along said right-of-way
line, to a point, said point being in the centerline of East 48th
Street as extended from. the West;
THENCE West to a point, said point being two-hundred forty-
five {2.45) feet North of the Northeast corner of Lot 2.2,. Block 4,
Clutter Addition to the City of Lubbock;
THENCE South to a point, said point being the Northeast corner
of •aid Lot 22., Blo-ck 4, Clutter Addition;
THENCE West to a point, said point being twenty-five {25) feet
West of the Southwest corner of Lot 3, Block 8, Clutter Addition
to the City of Lubbock;
THENCE South to a point, ~aid point being one-hundred eighty-two
(182) feet North of the South line of ~aid Survey 4, Block B1
THENCE West to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
z. Place the following described property in the 11M-111 Zoning District:
BEGINNING at a point, ~aid point being one-hundred fifty (150}
feet South of the Southwest corner of Survey 4, Block B. Lubbock
County, Texas J
THENCE North to a point, said point being one-hundred eighty-two
(182) feet North of said Southwest co'rner of Survey 4, Block B;
THENCE East to a point., said point being in the centerline of
Ute Avenue;

feet West of the Southwest corner of Lot 3., Blocks. Clutter

SECTION z. THA.T from and after passage and effective date of this ordin ..
ance, said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be
placed in the zoning district indicated, and ,shall )le subject to all pertinent
provisions of the said Zoning Ordinance No. 1695, as unended and the Official
Zoning Ma.p is hereby amended and extended in accordance herewith.
