AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING AND AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE
NO. 1695 AS AMENDED AND EXTENDING,. SUPPLEMENTING AND AMEND-
ING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO THAT THE
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED A.R.EA;a WlllCH WAS NOT CONTAINED OR INCLUDE
IN THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK UPON THE EFFE
TIVE DATE OF SAID ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AS ORIGINALLY ENACTED .. SHALL
BE SUBJECT TO ALL OF THE PERTINENT PROVISIONS CONTAINED IN SAID
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AS AMENDED• AND SHALL BE INCLUDED AND
CONTAINED IN THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK IN
THE ZONING DISTRICT HEREINAFTER SET FORTH AS FOLLOWS: ZONE
CASE NO. 649 ~ CHANGE LOTS 9, 10, 11, 1~ AND THE ALLEY BORDERING
SUCH LOTs_ BLOCK 1., REEDER. SUBDIVISION OF THE EAST 1/2. OF BLOCK I.
JOHN W. JARROTT'S SUBDIVISION OF THE NORTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION
15• BLOCK B.., LUBBOCK COUNTY• TEXAS. FROM AN "R-~" TO AN "R.-3"
ZONING DISTRICT. (VICINITY OF ~OTH STREET AND MIAMI AVENUE).
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described area was not included in and made a
part of the Official Zoning Map of the City of Lubbock on the effective date of
Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 as originally enacted; and,
WHEREAS, Certain proposed changes in and supplements to the zoning
districts have been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its
recommendation, which recommendation was received by the City Commission.,
and after due consideration, the City Commission finda that making the changes
and supplement& which are hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and,

WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid supplement
and amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with
as well as giving all notices in compliance with Section 2.0 of Ordinance No. 1695
as well as notices provided by Article lOllfJ Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes,
as amended in 1953., and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning
Avalanche more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of public hearing before
the City Commission on such notice was duly held in the City Commission Room
on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appear
ed in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing it was by the City Commis-
sion determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions,
that the Zoning Ordinance and The Zoning Map be amended and supplemented as
hereinafter set forth, and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written
form prior to fir at reading hereof, NOW THEREFORE,.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SEC'DDN 1. THAT Ordinance NO. 1695 as amended and the Official Zoning
Map of the City of Lubbock BE and the same are hereby amended and included
in the respective zoning districts of the City of Lubbock as hereinafter set forth,

and so included and show upon the Official Zoning Map of the City of Lubbock,
as followsJ

Change Lots 9, 1010 11, 12 and the alley borde ring such lots
Block 1, Reeder Subdivision of the East 1/2 of Block 1,~ John
W. Jarrott1s Subdivision of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 15,
Block B, Lubbock County, Texas, from an "R-211 to an "R-3"
zoning district. (Vicinity of 20th Street and Miami Avenue.)
SECTION 2 . THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance
said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be ""
placed in the Zoning Districts indicated, and shall be subject to all pertinent
provisions of the said Zoning Ordinance No. 1695t as amended. and the Official
Zoning Map of the City of Lubbock is hereby amended and extended in accordance
herewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
