AN APPROPRIATION OR,DlNANCE ------!I
WHEREAS, the City 'Commission of the City of Lubbock linda it is nee•
es.sary to appropriate certain specific funds out of bond funds for au ap•
proved project, and this ordinance deals with the daily operation of City de•
partments in the public interest which creates an emeraency; NOW .. THERE•
FORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
There is hereby appropriated out of the i>llowing described bond fund.
to•wit: General Funds -GWO 20 99
Th-. sum$ 5,303 .so
For the following purpose:
To purchase 10.587 acres out of Sections 12 and 17 BlockA along Ursuline
St/ west of College Avenue from H. G. Lawson at the rate o£ $500.00 an acre.
This property is needed for Loop 289. Purchase price is $5,293.50 plus
$10.00 filing fees.
WHEREASP an emergency exists as shown in the preamble to this
ordinance. the enactment of this ordinance is declared to be an etner-
gency measure thereby creating a public neces.sity that the rule re•
quiring proposed ordinances to be presented at two (2) separate com•
miSsion meetings be disp.ensed with; and this ordinance shall be effec-
tive from the date of its passage.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
