ORDINANCE NO. 2272 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWIN CHANGEt ZONE CASE NO. 62.5 -CHANGE LOTS 1 AND ~ WESTWOOD DRIVE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOC~ LUBBOCK COUNTY~ TEXA.Ss FROM AN "R-2." TO AN "R.-3u ZONING DISTRICT. (VICINITY OF 21st STREET AND KNOXVILLE A VENUE):s SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: (1) THAT A SOLID SEVEN FOOT MASONRY SCREENING FENC.E BE CON- STRUCTED ALONG THE REAR OF THE PROPERTY COr.{SIDERED BY THIS CASE. (2.) THAT 21st STREET BE DEDICATED TO A RIGHT-OF-WAY WIDTH OF 60 FEET.; WHEREAS. the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Conunission for its recommendation, which was received by the City Comm.ission and after due consideration~ the City Comnrission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest.i and~ WHE~ all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amend- ment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well ae giving notices in compliance with Section Z.O of Ordinance No. 1695* as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Vernon•s Annotated Civil Statutes. amended in 1953 and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanc)le more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor .of the City Hall, Lubbock;, Tex.asJ at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; an~ after said public hearing~ it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interes~ due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of thi.e Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE~ B.E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SEG.TION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE, and the sa.m.e are hereby amended aa followa;t to-wit: ZONE CASE 10. 62.5-Change Lot& 1 and z. Westwood Drive Addition to the City of Lubbock;t Lubbock County, Texas, from. an "R-2.11 to an "R-311 zoning district (Vicinity of Zlst Street and Knoxville Avenue); Subject to the following conditions: (1) That a solid seven foot masonry screening fence be constructed along the rear of the prop.erty considered by this case. {Z) That 2.ht Street be dedicated to a right-of-way width of 60 feet. SECTION Z THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance, said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof, shall be cllanged to the Zoning District indicated and the Official Map is ' _, am.ended in accordance herewith.
