NO. 2178 ------ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO• 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWIN CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO.; 62.7 -CHANGE THAT PORTION OF THE --HEREIN- 7AFTER.' DESCRIBED PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK..LUBBOCK COUNTY:. TE~ THAT IS PRESENTLY IN AN uR-2." ZONING DISTRICT~ FROM AN "R-2.11 TO AN "R-3" ZONING DISTRICT. (VICINITY OF AVENUE H AND 38t~ STREET; SAID PROPERTY BEING DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE. W-HEREAS, the proposed charl•ge in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the .Zoning and Planning Commission for its recom- mendation, which was received by the City Commission and after due considera- tion, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change,.' as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and .Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 2.0 of Ordinance No. 1695• as well as notices provided by Article 1011£1 Vernon•s Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953 and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen (15) day a prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall~ Lubbock# Texas~. at which time persons appeared in support of the1 , proposalJ and, after said public hearing, it was by the City Commission deter- mined that it would be in the public interest~ due to changed condition~ that the Zoning Ordinance and .Zoning Map be aJ:nended in the .m.anner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE, and the same are hereby amended as follows,, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 62.7 -Change that portion of the following described property in the City of Lubbock, Lubbock CoWlty, Texasll that is presently in an "R-2" zoning district, from an "R-211 to an "R-3" zoning district. (Vicinity of Avenue H and 38th Street). Thirteen and one-third acres of land out of Section 8, Block B,. Lubbock County, Texas, described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point 316. 8 varas north of the center of said Section 8; THENCE north 158. 4 varas; c \ THENCE west 475.2 varas; THENCE south 158. 4 varas; THENCE east 475. 2 varas to the place of beginning. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance said lots~ tracts and.parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof, shall be changed to the Zoning District indicated and the Official Zoning Map is ~ended in accordance herewith.
