AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE NORTH-SOUTH
ALLEY WffiCH ABUTTS THE WEST LINE OF SOUTHWESTERN ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF LUBBOCK. LUBBOCK COUNTYa T~ AS HEREINAFTER
MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED; AND DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER
TO INDICATE THE CLOSING AND ABANDONING OF SAID ALLEY.
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that the North_-South Alley abutting
~West line of Southwestern Addition to the City of Lubbock, Texas, is nQ~
longer needed for alley purposes or public uae; and,
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds it would be to the public interest to
close, vacate and abandon the same for alley purposes and public use, NOW,
THEREFO~
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the North-South alley abutting and adjacent to the
West line of Southwestern Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County,
Texa.s, said alley being a strip of land approximately lZO feet in length and
ZO feet in width along the West side of the aforesaid Southwestern Addition
to the City of Lubbock_, Lubbock County1 Texas, BE and the same is hereby closed, vacated and aoandoned as an alleyway.
SECTION z. THAT the City Engineer i• hereby authorized and directed
to mark the official map of the City of Lubbock to indicate that the North-
South alley abutting the West line of said Southwestern Addition to the City
of Lubbock, Lubbock County1 Texas, as described in Section One has been
closed and abandoned. ·
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
