WHEREAS, the proposed change in the zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recom- mendation, which recommendation was received by the City Commission, and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map hhve been fully complied with as well as giving all notices in accordance with Section 20 of Ordinance 1695, as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Vernon1s Annotated Civil Statutes, as amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined tha it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in substantial compliance with the proposal, and this Ordinance having been introduced in firri written form prior to first reading thereof; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: "' SEOTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map of the City of Lubbock BE, and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO~ 623 -Change all of Lots Z4 and ~5, the east 1/Z of Lot 23, and the west Zl 1Z/13 feet of Lot Z6, Block 17, McCrummen Second Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, from an 11 R•211 to a "0-211 zoning district. (Vicinity of Z4th Street and Avenue Q); subject to the following condition·: {1) That a solid seven foot masonry fence be constructed along the west property line for prot~ti ve screening purposes. SECTION 2.. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance, said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof, 7 ( ·. shall be changed to the zoning district indicated, and the Official Zoning Map is hereby amended in accordance herewith. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
