AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDJN"ANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES ZONE CASE NO. 620-A. CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN SECTION 1 (A:) OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM AN 11R-111 TO A 11C-411 ZONING DISTRICT; B. CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN SECTION 1 (B) OF TIDS ORDINANCE FROM AN "R-111 TO AN "M-111 ZONING D.ISTRICT. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recom- mendation, which recommendation was received by the City Com.missiO)l, and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed changes as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and. WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amend- ment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving all notices in compliance with Section ZO of Ordinance No. 16957 as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, as amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commis~ion on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room. on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said public he.aring, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance,ard this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW, THEREFORE, i' BE IT ORDAINED B-Y THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:' SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows: ZONE CASE NO. 620 A. Change the following described property from an 11R•l" to a 11C-411 Zoning District: , , .. BEGINNING at a point, said point being the intersection of the centerline of Avenue A South Drive, and the north line of Section 1, Block E, G. C. & S. F. Survey, Lubbock County , Texasi THENCE in a southwesterly direction along said centerline to a point. said point being in the west. line of said Section 1; THENCE south along said section line to a point, said point being i.n the City Limit Line of the City of Lubbock, as established by Ordinance No. 946; -1- ( ( I \ ' "" THENCE in a northeasterly direction along said City Limit Line to a point, said point being in the north line of said Section 1, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE west to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Change the following described property from an 11R-l11 to an 11 M~I 11 Zoning District1 BEGINNING at a point~ said point being the intersection of the City Limit Line of the City of Lubbock as established b y Ordinance No. 946, and the west line of Sectien 1, .Bl. ock E, G. C. &t S. F. Survey, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE south to a point, said point being the southwest corner of the northwest 1/4 of said Section 1; THENCE east to a point, said point being tne southeast corner of the northwest 1/4 of said Section 11 THENCE north to a point, said point being the northeast cor~er of the northwest 1/4 of said Section 1; . THENCE west to a point, said point being in the City Limit Line of the Cityof Lubbock as established by Ordinance No. 946; THENCE in a southwesterly direction along said City Limit Line, to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION z. THAT from and after the passage and eff~ctive date of this Ordinance, said lots, tracts, and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the Zoning District indicated, and the Official Zoning Map is hereby amended in accordance herewith.· AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
