AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING PORTIONS OF AN
UNDERGROUND STREET LIGHT CABLE EASEMENT LOCATED IN LOT A, TRAVIS
TUBBS ADDITION, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, WHICH IS MORE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE; DIRECTING THE CITY
ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF THE CITY TO REFLECT SAID
ABANDONMENT AND CLOSING; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND
PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the easements hereinafter described in the body
of this Ordinance are no longer needed for easement purposes and for public use; and it would
be in the public interest to close, vacate and abandon the same for easement purposes and for
public use; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the easement as hereinafter c cscribed shall BE and the same is
hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for right-of-way 1IL -1wses and for public use, such right-
of-way being more particularly described in the attached Exhibits "A."
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark the
official maps of the City of Lubbock to reflect said abandomnent and closing, showing the
number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage.
SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word
of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this
Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized
and directed to cai«c publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative
method provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.

Underground Utility Easement described in Volume 6608, Page 315, Real Property Records of Lubbock
County, Texas (RPRLCT), being out of Section 9, Block JS, Lubbock County, Texas, and being more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the West Right of Way line of Frankford Avenue, recorded in Volume 982, Page
535, Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas (DRLCT), for the Southeast corner of Lot "A", Travis Tubbs
Addition to the City of lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, according to the Map, Plat and/or Dedication
Deed thereof recorded in Volume 1116, Page 38, DRLCT, and for the Southeast corner of this easement;
Thence West, leaving said Frankford Avenue, with the South line of said Lot "A", and with the North line
of the 4.984 acre tract described as Tract Two in County Clerk File Number (CCFN) 2021059944, a
distance of 300.00 feet to a point for an "ell" corner of said 4.984 acre tract, for the Southwest corner of
said Lot "A", and for the Southwest corner of this easement;
Thence N00°03'00"E, with the East line of said 4.984 acre tract, and with the West line of said Lot "A",
20.00 feet to the Northwest corner of this easement;
Thence East, leaving said 4.984 acre tract, 300.00 feet to a point in the West Right of Way line of said
Frankford Avenue, and in the East line of said Lot "A", for the Northeast corner of this easement;
Thence S00'03'00"W, with the West Right of Way line of said Frankford Avenue, and with the East line
of said Lot "A", 20.00 feet to the Point of Beginning.
