RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY 'I'HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to execute
and on behalf of the City of Lubbock, Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreerr
Contract No. 16226 for engineering services for Bailey County transmission line upgrades, by
between the City of Lubbock and Freese and Nichols, Inc. and related documents. �
Amendment is attached hereto and incorporated in this resolution as if fully set forth herein
shall be included in the minutes of the City Council.

Amendment 1
To Agreement Between
The City of Lubbock, TX
And
Freese and Nichols, Inc.
THIS IS THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT, Contract No. 16226, dated and entered
into the 14th day of June 2022 by and between the City of Lubbock ("City") and Freese and Nichols, Inc.
("Engineer"), a Texas Professional Corporation, for Bailey County transmission line upgrades ("Project").
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, on August 8, 2023 the City and Engineer entered into a six-month contract extension for
time only.
WHEREAS, the Project requires coordination with a state agency that is delayed in the performance of
their work on the project. The City and Engineer now seek a one-year extension to this agreement for the
Engineer to complete its services on the Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City and Engineer agree to the terms of this FIRST AMENDMENT:
The City and Engineer hereby agree that the term of this agreement is hereby extended for one (1) year.
All other portions of the original Agreement shall remain in place and are not altered by this amendment.
