Home My WebLink AboutResolution - 2024-R0056 - Reauthorizing City Fees Charged - 01/23/2024Resolution No. 2024-R0056 Item No. 7.3 January 23, 2024 RESOLUTYON WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock ("City") maintains a fee schedule containing building permit related fees; and WHEREAS, H.B. No. 1922, effective January 1, 2024, requires that a city's governing body must hold a public hearing and vote to reauthorize any city fee charged as a condition of constructing, renovating, or remodeling a residential or commercial structure at least once every ten years; and WHEREAS, the City desires to reauthorize all building permit related fees. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK THAT: SECTION 1. The City Council held a properly noticed public hearing at the regular City Council Meeting on January 23, 2024 at 2:00 �.m. SECTION 2. The building permit related fees reflected in Appendix A are hereby reauthorized. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption. SECTION 4. If any provision of this Resolution is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be void or unenforceable, such void or unenforceable provision shall be severed as though it never formed a part of this Resolution, and all other provisions hereof shall remain in full force and effect.
