• WHEREAS, tht; proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made
~as been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its rec-
ommendation, which recommendation was received by the City Commission,
aiid after due consideration, the City Conunission finds that making the pro-p~sed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all condisions precedent required by law for a valid amend-
ment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with as well
as giving all notices in compliance with Section 2.0 of Ordinance No. 1695, as
-,veU as notices provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes,
.. s amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning
Ayalanche more than ;\fifteen (15) days prior .to the date of the public hearing ·
before the City Comm:ission. on o such proposed amendment, and the public hear-
ing according to said notice was duly .held in the City Commission Room on th~ first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, 'rexas, at which time persons ap.o:
peared ip suppo'ft of the proposal; and, af~er said hearing, it was by the
City Commission determined that it would. be in the public interest, due to
changed .conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amend-
ed; in substantial compliance with the proposal, and this ordinance having been
in~roduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof' NOW, THERE-
FORE,
l)E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE,
and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 519 -Change Lots 7, 8, 9, 10,11 and 12 in Block 6,
Del Mar Addition to the City of Lubbock" Lubbock County, Texas,
from an ttR-1" to a nc-zn Zoning District {Z6th Street and Boston
Avenue}, with the following conditions bein~ placed on the Zone
Change as provided for in Ordinance No. 1695:
(1) A fence shall be erected along the rear property line in ac-
cordance with the plans and specifications therefor on file
in the office of the Secretary of the Zoning and Planning
Comm.ission; and,
(z) There shall be no entrances or exits along the rear prop-
erty line.

i .SECTION 2. THA.T from and after passage and effective date of this
ordinance, said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 here•
~f [shall be changed to the Zoning District indicated and the Official Zoning
Map is hereby amended in accordance herewith.
