AN ORDINANC.E AUTHORIZING THE REM)VAL OF PARKING METER NO. 11-11-10
REPEALING ALL CONFLICTim ORDINANCES, AND D~LARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHERF..AS, the establishment of loading :zones at varioue locations in
the City ot Lubbock is necessar,y to the public safety and will provide a
greater use ot the public etreets; and,
WHEREAS, the City Commission has passed ordinances establishing a
parking meter zone and authorizing the placing of meters in that area,
it is neoeese.ry to remove said parking meters; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CI'l'I COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. That the Traffic Engineer be, and he is hereby' authorized
to cause due removal of park~ meter No. 11-11-10.
SECTION 2. The parking meters authorized to be removed by provision
of Section 1 (one) of this Ordinance, after all money contained in the
IIS"ters has baeD duly checked and accounted for, shEll be reconditioned
and renumbered for use at other locations.

SECTION ,3. That part of the provision of aey ordinance or order in
conflict with this Ordinance is hereby' repeued.
SJOOTION 4. Due to the changing traffic conditions creating a hazard
injurious to the public and the public's uae of the streets, the enact-
ment of this Ordinance is declared to be an emrgency measul"8 thereby
creating a public necessity that the rule requiring proposed ordinances
to be preaanted at two (2) separate meetings be dispensed with and this
Ordinance shall be effective from the date of its passage as provided
by law.
