AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A LOADING ZONE ON THE WEST.:
SIDE OF AVENUE "L", BEGINNING AT THE INTERSECTION OF AVENUE
uL" WITH MAIN STREET AND EXTENDING NORTH A DISTANCE OF 104
FEETi REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AUTHORIZING
THE PAINTING OF CURBS! AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

BE IT OlU>AINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT II! freight loading zone BE, and is hereby established
at the follQwing location:
On the West side of Avenue t1L11 , beginning at the intersection
of Avenue 11L 11 with Main Streeta and extending North a dis-
tance of 104 feet to the alley.
SECTION z. That any part of any ordinance or order conflicting herewith
is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That the Traffic Engineer is: hereby authorized and directed
to cause the curbs in the above described zone to be painted and said zone
plainly marked as "Loading Zone11•
SECTION 4. Due to the changing Jraffic conditions, creating a hazard
injurious to the public and the public's uae of the streets, the enactm.ent of
this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure, thereby creating
a public necessiw that the rule requiring proposed ordinances to be presented
at two sep"rate Commission meetings be dispensed with; and this ordinance
shall be effective from !he date of its passage as provided b y law.
