BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUB:OOCK:
SECTION 1. That a No-Parking Zone BE, and it is hereby established on
the following described portion of street, md it shall hereafter be unlawful
for a~ person operating, driving or in control of a vehicle to allow, permit
or suffer such vehicle to be parked in that portion of the street hereinafter
described as constituting a No-Parking Zone.
SECTION 2. That that portion of street referred to in Section 1 (One)
of this Ordinance as a No-Parking Zone is as folloWss
On the East side of Avenue J beginning at the intersection
of Avenue J with 19th Street and extending North a distance
of sixty (60') feat.
SECTION 3. That the Traffic Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to
paint or cause to be painted the curbs and to erect signs indicating a No-Parking
Zone consistent with the provisions of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4. That any person who shall suffer or parmi t any vehicle operatedt
driven or controlled by him to be parked in the area described in Seoti~n 2 (Two}
of this Ordinance shall upon conviction, be fined in any sum not exceeding Two
Hundred Dollars ($200.).
SECTION 5. i That all portions of all other ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. That the City Secretary is authorized to cause publication of
the descriptive caption of this Ordinance, together with the penalty clause,
as an alternative method provided by law.
SEOTION 7. That the enactment of thie Ordinance being necessary to the
public safet.y and to provide a greater use of the public streets and, due to
changed traffic conditions, is declared to be an emergency measure, thereb,y
creating a public necessity that the rule requiring proposed ordinances to be
presented at two separate meetings be dispensed with; and this ordinance shall
be effective from the date of publication, as herein provided.
