AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 661 AND THE
OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE
FOLLOWING CHANGES: (1) ZONING CASE NO. 494 -CH:.o\NGE THE NORTH
150 FEET OF A TRACT OF LAND IN THE VICINITY OF ERSKINE STREET
AND AVENUE X IN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK. LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS,
DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDlNANCE
FROM AN nAn ZONING DISTRICT TO A 11J" ZONING DISTRICT; (2.) ZONING I
CASE NO. 496 -CH..l\.NGE LOTS 1 THROUGH lZ, BLOCK 1, LINCOLN HEIGHTS
ADDITION •to THE CITY OF LUBBOCK. LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM
A "B" TO AN IIF•ln ZONING DISTRICT (34TH STREET AND NASHVILLE
AVENUE).
WHEREAS, the proposed changes in zoning districts as herinafter made
have been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning ConunJssion for its rec-
ommendation, which recommendation was received by the City Commission,
and after due consideration, the City Commis.sion finds that making the pro-
posed changes as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amend-
ment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with as well
as giving all notices in compliance with Section 2.5 of Ordinance No. 661, as
amended, as well as notices provided by Artb::le 1011£, Revised Civil Statutes,
as amended in 1953, and notice was duly published on November 2.1, 1954, in
the Lubbock Morning Avalanche, and the public hearing according to said
notice was held at Z:OO P.M. on .Inc:ember 9, 1954, in the City Commission
Room on the first floor of the City Han, Lubbock, Texas, at which time per-
sons appeared in support of the proposali and, after said hearing, it was by
the City Comlnission determined that it would be in the public interest, due
to changed conditions, that the Zoning 0'l"dinance and the Zoning Ma.p be amen-
ded in substantial compliance with the proposal, and this ordinance having been
introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW,. THERE-
FORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 661 and the Official Zoning Map BE,
and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
(1) ZONE CASE NO. 494-Change the North 150 feet of the following
described tract of land from an 11A!t Zoning Di.strict to a. nJn Zoning
District:
Beginning at a point which is 690 feet East and 50 feet North of the
Southwest corner of Section 16, B!.ock A, Lubbock County, Texas;
Thence East 300 feet to a point; Thence North 2.50 feet to a point;
Thence West 300 feet to a point; Thence South Z50 £eet to the place
of beginning (Erskine Street and Avenue X).
(2.) ZONE CASE NO. 496 .. Change Lots 1 through lZ, Block 1, Lin-
coln Heights Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas,
from a t1B 11 to an "F-ltt Zoning District (34th Street and Nashville
Avex:)le).

SECTION l. That from and after passage and effective date of this Or-
dinance said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof
shall .be changed to the Zoning Districts indicated, and the Official Zoning
Map is hereby amended in accordance herewith.
AND IT IS SO O.RDEaED.
