OF AVENUE NAND MARSHALL STREET IN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNI'Y, TEXAS, DESCRIBED BY MET.l!S AND BOUNDS IN 'fiB BODY OF THIS ORDINA:ta! FROM ITS PRESENT ZONING TO THE "L• ZONING DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the proposed changes in Zoning Districts as hereinafter mde have been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning CODDdasion tor ita recom... mendation, which recoltMndation was received by the City Col!llllission, and after due consideration, the City CODIIdasion finds tbat making the proposed changes as hereinafter set out vUl be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been tully complied vi th as well as giv-ing all notices in compliance vith Section 25 of Ordinance No. 661, aa a~~en­ded, as vell as notices prorlded by Article lOllt, Revised Civil Statutes, as amended in 195.3, and notice vas duly published on July 20, 1954, in the Lub-bock Morning Avalanche, and the public bearing according to said notice was held at 2:00 P.M. on August 12, 1954, in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persona appeared in su~ port of the proposal; and, after said heariqh it was by the City Colllll1asion detel"llined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and tb• Zoning Hlp be amended in substantial cora-pliance with the proposal; THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SroTION l. That Ordinance No. 661 and the Official Zoning Map BE, and the same are hereby amnded as follows, to-wit: · (1) ZONE CASE NO. 478 -Chang• the tollowi~ described property trom its present •one to the •L• Zoning District (Avenue N and Mlrshall Street). BmiNHING at a point in the vest boundary line of the Count17 Club Ad-dition, said point being 642 teet east atd 606 feet north of the south-west corner of Surfty 15, Block A, County of Lubbock, Texas tor tbe southeast corner of this tract; '!'hence north along vest boundary line of the Country Club .Addition, a distance ot 1273.2 teet to the north-vest corner of the Country Club Addition and continuing north in line vith said boundary of Country Club Addition, a distance ot 797.7 feet to a point tor the northeast corner of this tract in all a total ot u SJOOTION 2. 'nlat from and atter passage and effective date or thia Ordinance said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section-~ {One) hereof shall be changed to the Zoning District indicated, and the Official Zoning Map is hereby amended in accordance herewith.
