WHEREAS, the proposed changes in zoning districts as hereinafter made have been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recom-:~mn<Ul tion and the Zoning and Planning Commission after public heari~ and due deliberation, ade the recouinendation·tbat suoh property be not changed in zoning, but that such property remain vithin •A• Zoning District, which reco~ mendation was recei-nd by the City Collllli~sion and after due consideration, the City Commission finds tbat not vithstanding the unfavorable reCODIII$ndation of the Zoning and Planning Comission that making the proposed changes as herein-attar set out to be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Mlp have been fully complied with, as well as giving all notices in compliance vi th Section 25 of Ordinance No. 661, as amended, as well as notices provided by Article lOll:t, Revised Civil Statutes, as amended in 1953, and notice was duly published on July 20, 1954, in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche, and the public hearing, according to said notice was held at 2:00 P.M. on August 12, 1954, in the City CommisRion Room on the first fioor of' the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was b1 the City Com-mission determi.Ded that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended not with-standing the unfavorable recommendation of the Zoning and Planning Commission; THERE F 0 R E, BE IT ORDAINED BY mE CITY COJ.IIISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: S:&:TION 1. '!bat Ordinanoe No. 661 and the Official Zo~ Hlp BE, aDd the S8lDI are hereby &J~ended as follows, to-vit: (1) ZONE CASE NO. 473 -Change Lot 10, Block 2, Edwards Addition:, an addition of the City ot Lubbock, Lubbock Co\Ulty, Te:xas, from the •A• to -c" Zoning District (29th Street and Avenue Q) • SECTION 2.
